There is something rather magical about the latest track from C’est Karma. That leftfield obscurity inspired by the likes of Bjork shines through in every bar, but there is a punky energy lurking behind it all. Karma explains the politically motived track as “about the conflicts everyone finds in themselves at some point in life, it’s about the fight between reason and instinct.” At its core, ‘FIST FIGHT’ is a melody-driven alt-pop cut, but there is a real sense of progression and eclecticism in her style; droning guitars and industrial soundscapes collide with detailed synth sounds to forge an accompaniment that couldn’t possibly suit her voice better. -Dan Peeke
